Alicia Wright was born and raised in Appalachia, and studied English and creative writing at Marietta College and Bowling Green State University in Ohio. She worked for Mid-American Review and Rabble Lit, and her poetry has appeared in Kestrel, Pine Mountain Sand & Gravel, The Cape Rock, Sweet Tree Review, The Blackwater Review, and elsewhere. She currently lives in West Virginia, where she co-manages an adult literacy program and works as a freelance proofreader.
